Pyrite Suns, as the miners call them are found in coal mines at the 300 level lying in shale just above the coal seams. Testing at the Smithsonian proved them to be Pyrite and are dated to be 35 Million years old. Pyrite Suns come from Sparta, Illinois

Graves Mtn. has been closed for many years and the only specimens that are found are from collectors. Specimens like this one with such a Brilliant Color are the most sought after.

Graves Mountain became a famous mineral location in the 1800s and collectors dug prospects around the area. Eventually it became a kyanite mine. A large main pit was dug in the heart of the mountain. Ultimately the mine was shut down as other materials replaced kyanite in industrial usage and mining became less profitable.

There are over 30 different minerals from this location. The finest Iridescent Hematite in the world comes from this location.

Tremolite White Phantom Quartz- These crystals come from the same area within Regular Quartz, Quartz with calcite, Quartz with Cookeite, and also Tremolite.

The area is being built over into Suburban Homes in Little Rock Arkansas

In this form, the asbestos, Tremolite has been frozen in time inside the Quartz Crystal, silicone dioxide.

It was found in mountain leather rectorite a type of asbestos, and its distinctly different from other white phantoms when put side by side. These have fibrous whisps as opposed to small white granule looking inclusions with the white phantoms you commonly see.

They are more dense than other crystals. Take one McEarl and One Regular Crystal, that look the exact same and same size and will find that the McEarl Crystal is heavier.

A quartz mine located 1½ miles West of Blue Springs. Mineralization is quartz veins in Blakeley Sandstone. Started 1940 and closed 1943 and reopened many times since with a 1985 find of spectacular specimens. The Workings featured 2 adits and numerous pits & cuts.

Mine re-opened in the early 1980's by Jimmie Coleman for "rip rap" construction material. During the blasting of the unassuming "blue sandstone" layer an enormous crystal pocket was found around 1982 by Doug Ellison. This pocket contained several tons of crystals some of which were up to 3 feet long and 1 foot thick. They were generally milky but had good luster. Jimmie Coleman then purchased the property from Mini McEarl who had an old family homestead there. Other pockets were hit but in 1987 a major pocket produced what are generally considered the finest quartz crystals ever found. They have this distinction due to their luster , clarity , size and sharpness and attractive striations. This last pocket in 1987 was hit near the property boundary.

Quartz Crystal is made of Silicone Dioxide and not only are they pretty, but are known in the Metaphysical World to be a Powerful Healer, can Purify, and have High Vibrations-high energy. They can help Amplify Energy, and even though they are known for their Healing Energies, they can also store Energy as well.

Amethyst from Zambia Info

Because I have a few pieces of Amethyst from Zambia, I figured I'd input this info I found and collected across the web. 

Here is some info on Minerals mined in Zambia, known as the Cradle of Man Kind- 

Most gemstones of Zambia formed during the Pan-African orogeny 500-600 million years ago. They are among the oldest gemstones on the planet. During that time there were neither plants nor animals on land. During the Pan-African orogeny, which comprised a whole series of geological events, several continents and microcontinents joined together to form a waste super continent: Gondwana. Through the collision of two continents, the Mozambique belt was formed. The Mozambique belt is a zone of tectonically and thermally highly stressed metamorphic and magmatic rocks, which once was a huge mountain range reaching from Arabia through East Africa to Antarctica. Most gemstones of East Africa including Zambia were formed by tectonic and magmatic activity during the formation of the Mozambique belt.

Gemstones like aquamarine, tourmaline, and topaz are found in large veins or dikes consisting mainly of quartz, feldspar, and mica - so called pegmatite. Individual crystals in pegmatites are typically very big and one may encounter quartz or feldspar crystals of meter size quite frequently. Huge intrusions like the Sinda batholith in the Southeast of Zambia are believed to have provided the residual melts and hydrothermal fluids (water and gases) from which the pegmatites formed. By slowly cooling down rock forming minerals, e.g. quartz, feldspar, and mica crystallized in the large magma chambers. What stayed behind formed a residual melt, which became more and more enriched in everything that did not fit in the normal rock forming minerals. This usually is water, gases and rare elements such as lithium, beryllium, boron, cesium, and fluorine. When the residual melt finally cooled down too, hydrothermal fluids exsolved and their increasing pressure broke the surrounding rock. The freshly formed cracks were then filled with quartz, feldspar, mica, and occasionally e.g. aquamarine and tourmaline and form a pegmatite vein. These veins may reach 5-10 meters in thickness and a couple of hundred meters in length. Smaller fracture systems next to pegmatites may host amethyst and citrine. Where the pegmatite fluids got in contact with chromium-bearing rocks emerald may have formed.

After the end of the Panafrican orogeny the area we call Zambia today was geologically quiet for about 200 Million years. The mountains of the Mozambique belt eroded and left behind a landscape with waste plains and smooth hills. From about 300 Million years before present Gondwana started to break apart. This process of rifting still continues today. The Luangwa Valley testifies of the earliest stages of rifting in East Africa, which eventually resulted in the formation of the Great Rift Valley, the cradle of mankind.

Amethyst is used as a symbol of devotion and as a stone strengthening the will. It encourages selflessness and spiritual wisdom; it activates spiritual awareness, opens intuition and enhances psychic abilities. The stone also helps sharpen the conscious mind and enhances the mental powers. It is used to improve memory and keeps thoughts in line with life goals.

Amethyst is the Birthstone of February.

Dance Classes?

I was looking around for yoga classes or gym workout schedules that I was comfortable with, so I wrote on my Shield Maiden page asking if there was anyone who would want to meet up and work out with me.

I got a reply saying someone would and they like belly dancing. Funny thing is I've belly danced before. I've been in two little troupes. The Mona's Cobras, a coffee shop I worked at had an Ariabian nights (the owner was of Arabic descent) and once we got over 200 people to view us, I don't want to go pro ever, but I like dancing! We trained for weeks before hand too.
And previously when my mom and I would go sell to new age shops, there was a store in Roswell GA, a woman named Tonya (I love her) invited me twice to a divine feminine womb dance, taking your power back kind of thing. Nothing sexual, just dance and respecting and loving your body and who you are.
And then another friend wanted to belly dance and somehow got me in the Lotus Muses. We trained quietly in the basement of the county library. Yes, a Library. We talked more than danced. When there was dancing, the main dancer who has been to several large gatherings for dancing was mostly interested in learning tribal fusion to dubstep music. When I was moving, I was kind of glad because it wasn't what I was interested in. There are some good things, but alot of what I was seeing was dancing to certain steps and not to the music.

So now I am talking with my new friend about belly dancing and since I just hosted my own event, I gathered 15+ vendors for and a nonprofit and it was a huge success! So anyways, I was thinking, I know a good amount about dancing, not pro or anything, but I could do my own classes. Then  my new friend tells me she was mainly into belly dancing for the spiritual aspect of it.

So now I am having a Spiritual Divine Feminine Belly Dance Class.

I honestly do not know how I got to it or what lead me back to it, but hey, why not?

So I rented a studio and am selling tickets to see how it goes for one night. I may change my venue though, only because the dance studio place I found is super busy and hard to get good times in.

I'm just doing this for my page and group Shield Maidens, another thing I started earlier in the year for Spiritual reasonings and to find likewise minds with no judging or hate and we get to network each other and meet up.

We'll see how this class goes in three days time.
